Sourchest Hoodie

One of my favourite original characters. I've been working on their design ever since the first concept I did a year ago, but this is the one i'm going with. It used to be a guy, but is now based on a girl, I say based because she's generally a bit androgynous anyway.

I went with a stylistic element to this piece, only fully rendering the skin, with the rest being flat shading. I think it works well, and draws attention towards the defining characteristic.

I thought drawing a face would be a bad idea, and would take away from the main part of the image, so that concept remains from the original.

EDIT (8Feb'10): Added; Details to apple, hands, jacket, belt, shoes and skin, included jingle bells to shoes and fixed belt buckle angle, then reddened gums.
